The Island of Ibiza has a great selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. Ibiza Villas have visited a number of restaurants in and around the Island that have gained a good reputation and offer value plus quality. However, there are many to choose from and many new establishments that open every year that once in the resort just ask the locals for recommendations.
Villa Mercedes – This was once a traditional Ibicencan house in the port of San Antonio. Now a quality restaurant offering an interesting menu with a good choice of fresh fish, seafood and meats. Lovely sea view terrace where its possible to enjoy a drink or one of there fantastic cocktails. Live music is a feature at Villa Mercedes and with there own resident DJ a good time is assured.
Cafe Del Mar – The original chill-out bar of San Antonio and Ibiza. People have come to enjoy the sunsets here since the bar opened in 1980. Relax with a cold beer or one of the marvellous cocktails and listen to the famous Cafe Del Mar chill-out sounds. The sun sets and then the fun begins, this is a must do when on the island of Ibiza.
Cafe Mambo – Just next door to Cafe Del mar. Anther firm favourite, with early evening drinks while watching the sun sink and listening to some great sounds. Then its boy meets girl as the party starts.
Kumharas – Chill-out bar across the bay of San Antonio. This has a real laid back feel with open air terraces and lovely views across the bay. Enjoy sunsets while listening to the bars own brand of Ibiza music and be entertained by various entertainers. Enjoy great cocktails, cold beers, tapas or one of the savoury pancakes. A beautiful restaurant has been added offering a mix of local and oriental style food. Only made with the best ingredients. Very popular.
Ushuaia – Beach bar and Hotel – Playa Den Bossa
Ushuaia has become one of the hot spots on the Island of Ibiza since it opened just two summers ago. Great music and lively atmosphere. Very popular with people now coming from all over the Island to join in the fun, get there early as once the place is full that’s it. Goes on every day until midnight throughout the summer season, open from the end of may until late summer. Now with its new hotel should you wish to be on the spot throughout your stay on the Island.
Bora Bora – Playa Den Bossa.
Bora Bora has been having wild beach parties for many years now. People from all over Ibiza flock to the beach late afternoon to enjoy the wild beach parties that go on throughout the summer months. Dancing on tables, great music and lots of boy meets girl. Ibiza at its best!
Nassau Beach Club – Playa Den Bossa
Lovely location on the sands at the far end of Playa Den Bossa Beach. Stylish beach club with fancy sun beds for day time use with waiter service, so need need to move of the beach. Quality menu for daytime light lunches and snacks. The restaurant has an attractive chill-out lounge and a classy bar serving a great selection of cocktails. Regular party nights, popular with a more mature and relaxed crowd. Top end prices but worth it.
La Plage De Lelephant Playa Den Bossa
New beach restaurant open daily from 4pm till midnight. Lovely chilled out atmosphere, offering high quality service and food. The menu offers a varied selection of pasta/risottos, seafood and and good quality meat. Good wine list Children’s menu available. Top end restaurant – expensive.
Pastis – Ibiza Town
One of the top restaurants in Ibiza with good reputation and popular with the people in the know. This small intimate french restaurant has gained a big following over the last few years. Tucked away around the back from Vara de Rey. Quality food at sensible prices for Ibiza. Book in advance.
S’Ametller – Ibiza town
Lovely restaurant in Ibiza town offering top quality food with friendly and helpful service. Varied a la carte menu, also features a set sampling menu which is very popular. Daily changing specials. Good wine list. Great Value.
Blue Marlin – Beach restaurant Cala Jondal.
Blue Marlin has now gained a good reputation on the Island for its stylish atmosphere. Lovely location on the beach at Cala Jondal. Top quality food and fun to visit during the day or night. Resident DJ with good mix of music. Chilled out ambience for the young and young at heart. Beautiful place for the beautiful people. Top end Ibiza prices.
Civet – Ibiza Town
Attractive restaurant offering good quality food. Close to the centre of Ibiza town, varied menu with daily specials at reasonable price. Good wine list and friendly service. Value.
Comidas San Juan – Ibiza Town
Just a few minutes from the port. This place is used mainly by the locals and regular visitors to the Island, it offers good quality no nonsense food. At this establishment you don’t have your own table, if people come in and there’s a spare seat they join you. Spanish food served in large portions. If you have wine with your meal you pay for what you drink. If you drink half the bottle that’s all you pay for. Very reasonable for lunch or dinner.
